Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, aka The Bloody Beetroots , asked me to do this video on a Saturday. There was no real concept, no cast, no props, no cameras, nothing… My idea was simple: go out in the desert and DESTROY. Shoot guns, drink beer, smoke weed, trash a car, get naked, get drunk, race motorcycles and basically just fucking ROCK STEADY.
Two days later we were on the road with a 1980 Camaro, 4 cameras, 3 metal heads I met at a bar, Marilyn, 8 cases of beer, a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, a .45 semi auto, a bag of weed and tons of ammo. I mean, a LOT of ammo. And Bob? Well, the label put him on a plane from Italy, so he was probably somewhere over Greenland and we needed to pick him up near the Salton Sea in about 12 hours. If he got there. Shit, if we got there. But fuck it, in this sort of situation, there are no guarantees.
So we drank all the beer, smoked all the weed, trespassed, got invited in, got kicked out, broke and entered, shot guns (in CA, which has to be a felony), smashed bottles, scared people, the car broke down, people fucked, people bled. Unscripted, unrehearsed and pretty much about as run and gun as it gets…
